SURPRISE SURPRISE! THE WHITE HOUSE LIES
It's been a remarkable week for
stories on the 9/11 front. With revelations finally surfacing in the
mainstream media that George W. Bush knew full well that terrorist
attacks were imminent, it'll be very interesting to see how deeply the
search for real answers dares to go. And don't be deceived by White
House spin doctoring - their claim that only vague warnings were given
about "traditional" hijackings is an outright lie. In 1999, a report
titled Sociology and Psychology of Terrorism gave the U.S. Government
this warning: "Suicide bomber(s) belonging to al-Qaida's Martyrdom
Battalion could crash-land an aircraft packed with high explosives into
the Pentagon, the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency, or
the White House." These were followed by several direct warnings from
the German, French, Russian and Israeli spy networks that plans were
underway to use airplanes to take down "strategic American symbols" such
as the World Trade Centres (as documented at fromthewilderness.com,
among other places). I certainly don't have any faith that the media
outlets will carry through with this investigation to its rightful
conclusion, but if they really want to hear lies out of the White House,
ask the president about the Bush family business ties to the bin Ladens;
about his order to the FBI and CIA to stop investigating bin Laden back
in 2000; about Dick Cheney's company, Halliburton, which will make
stinking vast profits off pipeline construction projects in Afghanistan
(to go along with it's millions for building oil refineries in Iraq, in
direct opposition to his own governments sanctions); and about his
administrations close ties to Unocal, the company which was unable to
strike a deal with the Taliban, after which the Bush administration
renewed negotiations and offered the Taliban a "carpet of gold" if a
deal was struck, or a "carpet of bombs" if they didn't co-operate. And
that just scratches the surface of the corruption at hand. For more

TRUTH AND LIES OF 9/11
Or if you don't want to read all that much, make
an effort to see a presentation by Mike Ruppert, who is coming to
Vancouver with his analysis of all of the inconsistencies of the
official version of the events of September 11. Ruppert is the former
LAPD narcotics investigator who was forced to leave the department after
he uncovered CIA trafficking in drugs in 1977. Since that time he has
made it his mission to expose the corruption and lies of those in
positions of power. Using only government documents, official
statements, and verifiable press reports as the basis for his work,
Ruppert has written over 20 articles uncovering the flaws in the 9/11
story, and produced the video Truth and Lies of 9-11. He also offers a
$1000 reward if anyone can disprove any of the evidence he discusses.
Advance tickets can be had at the usual outlets, or at the door, at The
Raja Cinema, 1660 E. Broadway St., 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11. Get
the low-down on Mike Ruppert at www.copvcia.com.
MORE BLOOD FOR OIL
Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, a deal is in the works to
build a two billion dollar oil pipeline to connect Turkmenistan to
Pakistan and India. Not surprisingly, Unocal will be the lead company to
build the pipeline, the same company which had such trouble with the
Taliban before they were conveniently removed. The cherry on top of this
cowpie of corruption is that the man who was installed by the U.S. as
interim leader of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzaiis, was once a consultant for
Unocal. (BBC)
SAY WHAT?
On top of all the other news in the past week, FBI director
Robert Mueller quietly announced that, after all the hoopla surrounding
the 19 Muslim men who were named as hijackers almost immediately after
the terrorist attacks, it now turns out, after eight months of
investigation, that there is not a single piece of evidence linking any
of those men to a terrorist attack. The FBI director stated "in our
investigation, we have not uncovered a single piece of paper - either
here in the United States or in the treasure trove of information that
has turned up in Afghanistan and elsewhere - that mentioned any aspect
of the Sept. 11 plot." (americanfreepress.net)
TALKING HEAD TURNS ON HIS MASTERS
Dan Rather, of all people, gave a
fascinating interview last week in which he admitted that the current
climate of patriotic jingoism in America is causing journalists to avoid
the tough questions that need to be asked of our so-called leaders. In
an interview with BBC, the 20-year veteran anchorman of CBS News said
that "patriotism run amok" was trampling the freedom of journalists.
He admitted that he has fallen prey to the fear at times, while
interviewing members of the Bush administration, saying to himself "I
know the right question, but you know what? This is not exactly the
right time to ask it." He also lashed out against the White House for
its censorship of information, saying that there has never been a war in
which access for journalists has been so limited. "Limiting information
to cover the backsides of those who are in charge of the war," he said,
"is extremely dangerous and cannot and should not be accepted.
